BI 496B
A course that emphasizes microtechniques, focusing on the theoretical and practical aspects of tissue preparation for structural analysis. Activities include tissue fixation, sectioning,staining and photomicrography. Evaluation will be based on the quality of prepared tissues and photo- micrographs. The first two weeks of the course will involve structured lectures and lab activities. The third and fourth weeks of the course will involve preparation of materials for evaluation under the supervision of the course instructor. There is no examination. Pre-requisite: BI248, or both BI204 and BI207, or registration status fourth year Honours Biology.
